This work runs on people who show up.
Volunteer your time, partner with us, or help us spread our mission. We partner with shelters, community organizations, schools, churches, and local businesses to bring grooming services directly to the people who need them most.
Two ways to help on the day
Behind the chair
Licensed barbers, cosmetologists, and barber apprentices. You bring your clippers and your license; we bring everything else.
- A current Florida license from the Department of Business and Professional Regulation: barbering under Chapter 476, or cosmetology under Chapter 477.
- Your own clippers, blades, guards, and shears.
- A background screening if the event serves children.
- A signed volunteer waiver, which we will send you.
Everything else
No license needed, and just as necessary. Most of an outreach day is not cutting hair.
- Greeting people and managing the queue.
- Setting up and breaking down chairs, tents, and stations.
- Assembling and handing out hygiene kits.
- Sanitizing tools and keeping stations stocked.
- Photography, only with written consent from everyone in frame.
What to bring
Comfortable shoes, water, and a black shirt if you have one. Events run outdoors in Florida heat, so we schedule breaks and keep water on hand.
Host a pop-up
If you run a shelter, school, church, clinic, or community program, we will bring a grooming day to the people you already serve. That is usually far more effective than asking them to travel to us.
What we bring
- Licensed volunteer barbers and stylists
- Chairs, capes, neck strips, and tools
- Sanitation and disinfection supplies
- Hygiene kits to hand out
- Queue management, so your staff are not running it
What we need from you
- A space, indoors or a spot where we can put up a tent
- Access to power and water if possible
- A rough headcount so we bring enough barbers
- A staff contact on the day
- Help letting people know it is happening
What we always need
In-kind donations go straight into the next event. If you own a shop or distribute professional supplies, this is the most direct way to help.
Tools
- Clippers and trimmers
- Replacement blades and guards
- Shears and razors
- Spray bottles, combs, brushes
- Mirrors and folding chairs
Sanitation

- Gloves

Bring what you have.
A skill, a space, a van, or an afternoon. Tell us what you can offer and we will find a use for it.
